The external world is changing every second and there are a lot of stimuli. Our mind is constantly chasing a lot of thoughts about it, mostly useless.

We sometimes don't notice how at one moment the mind completely takes over our attention and it goes into reminiscence, it complains and laments, it worries and worries, it worries about something and anticipates something, it fears something, it hopes for something, it regrets something, compares it with something, gets angry and swears, judges and condemns, gets indignant, sometimes even attacks us, awarding us with epithets that would offend us if they were uttered aloud by someone else.

If we at least try to abstract ourselves from these thoughts and shift our focus to the inner world, concentrating this flow of attention, our life will fundamentally change in a positive direction, despite what is happening around us now.
